You should see a new icon on the upper right side of the screen that resembles a small figure in front of a screen. Tap on that. You’ll see a drop-down button that says “Share My Screen.” Tap on that and you’ll be sharing your screen with your friend.
The Share button lets people add a personalized message to links before sharing on their timeline, in groups, or to their friends via a Facebook Message. If your app is native to iOS or Android, we recommend that you use the native Share Dialog on iOS and Share Dialog on Android instead.
How to Share Play on the PS4
- On the Invite Players screen, add the friend you want to start a party with by searching for them, or select them from your friends list. …
- Load the game you want to play.
- Press the share button on your DualShock 4 controller.
- Choose Share Play on your TV screen.
You can play games together or share your game library with friends and family members who are also still using their PS4, thanks to a feature called Share Play. (If you do have a friend with a PS5, you can also play their PS5 games on your PS4 with Share Play, too.)
To change how the SHARE button works, select (Settings) > [Sharing and Broadcasts] > [SHARE Button Control Type].
Select Share Play > Start from the party screen. When a visitor joins Share Play, your console’s screen is shared with the visitor. To join Share Play as a visitor, select Share Play > Join Share Play from the party screen. A Share Play session lasts for one hour and automatically ends one hour after the visitor joins.
If you’re wondering if SharePlay supports Netflix, the answer is no. However, this may change in the future, so you may be able to coerce your friend into watching the new season of “You” at a later date.
